The department is actively interacting with the local community by conducting various consultations and labs testing for the following institutions:

  1. Japanese Grant (Obayashi Corporation as a contractor): DTSC conducted tests for six schools in Hebron district out of 11 schools as part of the Japanese grant to the Hebron district. Tests included the following

  • Compressive strength of cubic concrete specimen

  • Building stone:

  • Absorption and bulk specific gravity of natural building stone

  • Compressive strength of natural building stone

  • Visual inspection test

  • Terrazzo tiles tests.

  • Density of soils–in–place by the rubber balloon method

  • Soil compaction test.

  1. Palestinian Telecommunication Company (PalTel): Since Paltel was established, a cooperation relationship was initiated between Paltel and DTSC for conducting different construction tests in Hebron, Bethlehem, Abu Deis, Beit Jala, and Beit Sahour in the following fields:

  • Density of Soils – In – Place and Soil compaction tests for many project in the above mentioned locations.

  • Geotechnical Investigation Reports

  • Bituminous Paving Mixtures: testing the  quantity extraction of Bitumen and Sieve Analysis for Aggregate.

  • Determining Degree of Pavement Compaction of Bituminous Aggregate Mixtures.

  • Core Drill testing of telephone manholes.

  • Compressive Strength Of Cubic Concrete Specimen

  • Surveying of lands owned by Paltel.

  1. Palestinian Housing Council (PHC): most of  PHC projects in Gaza, Jericho, and Hebron were tested at DTSC labs. These tests included:

  • Geotechnical investigation reports.

  • Compressive Strength Of Cubic Concrete Specimen.

  • Terrazzo Tiles Tests

  • Concrete Masonry Unit

  1. Conducting various kinds of tests (mentioned above) for the following institutions:

  • Hebron Rehabilitation Committee.

  • Medicine building at Jerusalem University- Abu Deis

  • Ministry of Education/ Hebron Office and South Hebron Office

  • Local construction companies

  1. Hebron Municipality: DTSC worked in building and upgrading the current IT infrastructure of Hebron Municipality by doing the following tasks:

  • Making an assessment about the current situation of the computer system in the municipality.

  • Identifying the current and the future needs of the municipality in accordance with the strategic development plan.

  • Put the technical specifications and drawings as needed for the hardware and network.

  • Assist in putting the biding documents according to ban standards.

  • Assist in evaluating the submitted bids by different companies.

  • Supervise the installation of the supplied equipments and materials.

  1. Ithna Municipality in Hebron district: Provided consultations, tenders, specification for constructing many roads for Ithna Municipality.

  2. Municipalities of Ithna, Samo', and Beit Ommar: providing engineering consultations for establishing High Pressure Electricity networks.

  3. In addition to supervising all UGU and PPU buildings and constructions.
