THE DEPARTMENT OF TECHNICAL SERVICES AND CONSULTATIONS (DTSC)

 DTSC was established in 1993 in order to serve the local community and to fulfill the lack of experts in the field of engineering services and consultation in the southern part of the West Bank. DTSC has been offering many services in many fields relying on the solid infrastructure of PPU. PPU provides the department with qualified staff and high quality labs and workshops. The department offers direct consultations and various technical services to PPU and to the local community through the following centers:

1.      Construction Material Testing Center: Providing the following services firstly to the institution and also to the local community:-

• Construction material testing.

•  Various surveying activities.

2.       Information Technology and Information Center: Providing the following services to the PPU and to the local community:

• Computer programming and networks services

• Home page design and management

3.      Vehicle Testing Center (VTC): VTC was established in 1997 according to the agreement signed between PPU and the Ministry of Transportation (MOT), which considers VTC at PPU as the only accredited vehicles testing institution in the West Bank.

4.      Biomedical Instruments Maintenance Center: In 1997 the polytechnic signed an agreement with the Palestine Ministry of Health, by which this center will be responsible for maintenance of biomedical equipment of all hospitals in the region.
