Palestine Polytechnic University wins the First Place in Architectural Design Competition for designing a building for the Ministry of Agriculture in the Old Town of Hebron

The PPU has taken the first place in the Architectural Design Competition for designing a building for the Ministry of Agriculture in the old town of Hebron in the presence of Dr. Nafez Nasreddin, the Dean of College of Engineering, engineer Faidi Shabaneh, the Chairman of the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering, Dr. Ghassan Dweik and the faculty members of this Department.
 
The Ministry of Agriculture, represented by Dr. Nasser Salamin, the director of the Ministry of Agriculture and Dr. Labib Badr and a number of the Ministry’s staff honored  the architectural engineering student : Mohammad Jawad al-Haddad for his winning in the competition for designing the service and administration building of the Ministry of Agriculture and receiving the first place under the supervision of Dr. Ghassan Dweik within his Architectural Design course. Dr. Dweik  was given a letter of appreciation and the student, al-Haddad, was given a symbolic amount of US$400.
 
It is noteworthy that 25 students from the PPU participated in this competition and they all designed this building
Then, the Ministry has chosen the best design to be implemented on the ground. It should be noted also that this building is close to al-Karantina building on the outskirts of Shuhada Street and the Ibrahimi Mosque.
