Palestine Polytechnic University and University of Arizona explore the prospects of joint cooperation

The PPU and University of Arizona (UA) discussed ways of joint cooperation between the two university in the presence of Dr. Kathryn Farrell Boe,  the Head of the Biosystems Engineering Department at the University of Arizona,  Prof. Imad Khatib, the PPU's President, Dr. Mustafa Abu al-Safa, the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the deans and a number of researchers in the field of environment, civil engineering and biotechnology.

Dr. al-Khatib praised such relations between the two universities, especially in the field of scientific research and the joint specialization, particularly the idea of establishing a small university campus for UA in Palestine Polytechnic University.

Dr. Farrell as well expressed her admiration for the role of the University and its development at all levels, especially in engineering and she praised the University Biotechnology Research Center.

As well, the researchers praised the achievements made by the UA in the joint fields which will encourage the University researchers to work together in the various researches and programs.

Then Dr. Abu al-Safa gave an overview about the University, its stages of development and its various programs.

Also, Dr. Mohammed Tamimi, the Director of the Language and Translation Center as well as the  coordinator of this visit, pointed out that this visit aimed to do  the number of activities agreed upon by the two universities and enhance all efforts in the various fields of mutual interest.

At the end of the visit, they were taken on a tour to the centers and the university laboratories in addition to visiting the Old Town of Hebron and the Abrahm Mosque.
