Palestine Polytechnic University and Palestinian American Medical Association (PAMA) discuss prospects for joint cooperation

The President of the University Prof. Imad Khatib received a delegation from the Palestinian American Medical Association, headed by Dr. Majdi Hamarshi, the President of PAMA, and  the Director of Finance Dr. Nizam al-Turk, in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Mustafa Abu Al Safa, and Vice President for Planning and Development Mr. Ayman Sultan.
Prof. Al-Khatib welcomed the visiting delegation and praised the joint cooperation with PAMA and then he gave an overview of the different programs of the university, especially the joint human medicine program, thanking the Association for its interest and support to the Palestinian health sector and the other various sectors in Palestine.
As well, Dr. Hamarshi expressed his appreciation for the PPU's role in making cooperation with the Association in areas of common interest. Hamarshi announced that the Association provided  20 grants for medical students at Palestine Polytechnic University, in support of the medical sector in the State of Palestine, including a series of projects benefiting children and students of the medical program and NGOs hospitals and universities as well as patients in need of specialized surgeries.
The visit included a tour to the Palestine Korean Biotechnology Center where they had a briefing on the medical researches. The PAMA delegation expressed their admiration of the researches and the potentials in the field of biotechnology. After that the delegation visited Al-Ahli Hospital,  a key partner of Palestine Polytechnic University in health programs, where they were received by the administration and doctors of Al-Ahli Hospital and  briefed on the hospital and its facilities.
It is noteworthy that the Palestinian American Medical Association is an independent American institution that aims to develop the medical services sector in Palestine and provide medical assistance to the Palestinians.
