College of Engineering Concludes 2023 Mechanics Challenge Competition

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering celebrated the successful conclusion of the 2023 Mechanics Challenge Competition. The event, attended by the college's dean, department heads, and academic and administrative staff, honored the 42 participants from various programs within the department.

Sponsored by Al-Naseem Trading and Investment Company, the competition comprised two categories: microcontrollers and pure mechanics, with 16 and 7 projects, respectively. Under the supervision of Dr. Husein Amro, the department head, and with support from arbitration committees and the competition coordinator, Eng. Haajer Abu Rumaila, the event recognized the top three winners with prizes and certificates of distinction. All participating students received appreciation.

The ceremony also featured awards from the Student Union Council and valuable prizes for all participants. In-kind gifts from Al-Naseem Company, the department, the Society of Mechanical Engineers (IMECH), and the AEE Society enhanced the event. Dr. Husein Amro expressed gratitude to the sponsors, Student Union Council, and contributors, praising the exceptional projects presented during the ceremony.
