This project aim to establish 5 vocational centers (VET) , to network and train future farmers in Jordan and Palestine. The AgroTec project is among several projects that received grants from the (ERASMUS+) program, and one of the projects that the PPU has won in the year 2023.
The project duration is 3 years starts on 1\1\2023 and extend to 31\12\2025, and It carries ID number (101092160). The partner universities from Palestine in addition to the PPU is the Palestine Technical University (PTU) , and from Jordan , the university of Jordan , Mutah university and the national college of technology. The partners from Europe are the institute of AgriWatch in Netherlands, Int@E from Germany, and Slovakia University of Agriculture.
Among the other objectives of the AgroTec project is to develop 12 educational courses in smart agriculture and modern marketing of agricultural products. At least 4 courses will be implemented face to face and online in the partner universities from Palestine and Jordan.
It should be noted that the team of AgroTec at the PPU has developed a diploma program for 2 years (76 credit hours) from the AgroTec project. The students will be admitted in this program from all high school branches starting on September 2024.
