Palestine Polytechnic University holds a day on Studying in the United States

The PPU held a day to present information about studying in the United States, as part of activities of the International Education Week, organized by AMIDEAST. This meeting included both the academic and administrative bodies of the university and students as well.

The meeting has been attended by a delegation from AMIDEAST that included Ms. Maureen Merom, who is in charge of cultural exchange at the consulate, Ms. Sana Tim, who is in charge of programs in the institution, and Dr. Ayman Sultan, the Vice President for Planning and Development and International Relations at the PPU, in addition to the administrative and academic bodies and the University students.

The two sides discussed the ways to strengthen the existing cooperation between the PPU and the US Consulate and Amideast in various academic areas for the advancement of higher education in Palestine by providing grants to graduates of the Palestinian universities to complete their higher studies in various disciplines; this will enhance the work opportunities for the Palestinian youth.

The lecturers of the University in this meeting talked about the reality of  higher education in the United States in details. As well, the two sides discussed the programs offered by the US Consulate and the grants for postgraduate studies and  they also talked about the registration process and how to apply for a university, the opportunities for grants and exchanges, admission requirements, and opportunities for vocational training.

In this context also the visiting delegation stressed the importance of applying for the various master's and doctoral grants programs and making researches in the United States. They also pointed out how important is to implement the various exchange visitor programs in order to promote to learning and developing the academic staff and the students of the Palestinian universities.
