Palestine Polytechnic University receives a delegation from the Korean International Cooperation Agency ( KOICA)

 
The President of Palestine Polytechnic University, Prof. Imad Al-Khatib, received a delegation from the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), led by the Director of KOICA Office  Dr. Usain Shin, Deputy Director of the Office Mr. Habon Yu, and Project Officer Ms. Marwa Al-Natsheh.
Prof. Al-Khatib welcomed the delegation and thanked the Korean people and government for their generous donation to establish the Korean-Palestinian Biotechnology Center. Then he talked about the status of the center at the national level in terms of strategic partnerships that serve the community, scientific research projects and training programs, in addition to  developing technology that responds to the needs of vital Palestinian sectors in the areas of health, biotechnology, animal health, and agricultural biotechnology and development.
Usin Shin as well expressed his appreciation to Palestine Polytechnic University and the scientific and research achievements emanating from the Korean Center, and he stressed the interest of the Korean government in supporting the educational sector and scientific research.
The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Planning and Development, engineer Ayman Sultan and the Director of the Palestinian-Korean Center, Dr. Yaacoub Al-Ashhab.
It should be noted that the aim of this visit was mainly to make an inspection tour to the Korean Center and discuss the existing and future projects of both parties.
