German Parliamentary Delegation Strengthens Ties with PPU Through High-Level Visit

A delegation of high-ranking German parliamentarians, led by Professor Gabriela Heinrich, visited Palestine Polytechnic University in collaboration with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Palestine Offcie. Upon arrival, they were warmly welcomed by university officials, administrative staff, and students. During the visit, Dr. Raed Amro, Vice President for Academic Affairs, highlighted the strong educational ties between Palestine and Germany, especially in the field of dual studies in cooperation with GIZ.

The visit included a presentation by Mr. Aiman Soltan Tamimi, the University Vice President for Planning and Development Affairs, who provided an overview of the College of Dual Studies and how it simulates the labor market to prepare students for employment. The delegation praised the vocational programs offered by the university, which provide students with the skills they need to succeed in the job market.

In addition to the presentations, the delegation met with partner companies and dual studies students to learn about their experiences and exchange ideas about the future of dual education in Palestine. The discussions focused on the need for continued collaboration to develop educational programs that meet the needs of the labor market and reduce the unemployment rate among graduates.

The visit emphasized the importance of educational cooperation between Palestine and Germany and highlighted the positive impact of vocational programs on students' career prospects.
