The Planning and Development Department was established in 1985 at Palestine Polytechnic University as the visionary and supporting arm of PPU that aims at keeping the excellence of all programs and services through understanding needs and creating plans, proposing solutions and seeking funds through funded projects to help Polytechnic’s success and development. This shows in the establishment of sustainable projects turned into operational departments, academic programs, community outreach divisions and service centers. Also, the Planning and Development department helps in developing modern academic and operational approaches and methodologies through international partnerships and cooperation.
The PDD mission is to help develop and accomplish PPU strategic goals through the steady and continuous work on creating and modernizing the strategic plan. And, the development of resources, programs, diverse services, and cooperation with local and international partners.
- Creating, updating and following up the strategic plan and action plans of PPU
- Creating and following up partnerships with local, regional and international partners
- Preparing developmental projects proposals and seeking funds for the University needs from local, regional and international donors.
- Projects follow up and coordination with donors for granting in cooperation with the Projects Management Unit
